Brick Fireplace Whitewash

The paint on this brick was chipping and peeling due to previous improper prep. After we had painted the house’s interior, it was decided the fireplace needed a refresh. The homeowner was hoping to freshen it up and wanted a more rustic look vs just repainting it again. The original brick underneath is brown and they wanted to lighten it overall with just a little bit of the original color peeking through. We had to strip the original paint off and clean the brick multiple times. After the prep was completed, we did a whitewash over the brick. The overall result is just what the homeowner wanted to make an aesthetic change in their living space!
